Creator Earnings

Create stories. Build an audience. Earn from the worlds you create.

Several ways to earn, all of them tied to people actually reading your work — and a statement you can check rather than a number to take on trust.

Where earnings come from

You can use one of these or all of them.

Subscriptions

Paid-subscriber engagement

A share of subscription revenue is distributed according to how much subscribers actually read. Time spent in your Issues is what counts, not how many followers you have.

Advertising

Advertising revenue share

When ads run against your work you receive a share. Placement stays out of the reading experience itself — never mid-scene, never over dialogue — and you can exclude categories from your Series.

Premium

Premium content

Put an Issue or a whole Series behind TalePort+ or a direct price. Early Issues generally do better free, so new readers can find you.

Direct

Purchases and fan support

Readers can buy individual Issues where you enable it. Direct support features are rolled out progressively rather than promised in advance.

Rights

Licensing and IP

Your work stays yours. Where adaptation or licensing interest appears, the marketplace gives you a place to hold those conversations on your terms.

Reporting

Statements you can reconcile

Every period shows what was counted, what was excluded and why. If a number looks wrong you can find out where it came from instead of asking someone to check.

What we will not tell you

We do not promise an income. Nobody honestly can. What you earn depends on what you make and who reads it, and anyone showing you a projected figure before you have written anything is selling something.

What we will tell you is how the calculation works. Engagement is measured in qualified reading minutes; sessions that cannot be real are excluded and the reason is recorded; the share of revenue that goes to creators is a published percentage, not a discretionary decision made each month.

Earnings become available after a hold period, and payouts run once you pass a minimum threshold — both of which the Studio shows you before you enrol.

Getting paid

Enrol once

Confirm your details and connect a payout account. Until then earnings accrue; nothing is lost by waiting.

A period closes

Engagement is calculated, the pool is divided, and your statement is produced. You can see the inputs, not just the total.

You are paid

Once the hold period passes and you are above the payout threshold, the balance is transferred to your account.

The audience comes first

Publish something, find out who reads it, then decide how you want to earn from it. None of the monetization decisions have to be made on day one.
